1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the AI Search Mastery website at aisearchmastery.com ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Website.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and AI Search Mastery, operated by Jamie Watters ("we", "our", "us").

2. Description of Service

AI Search Mastery is an informational website. It publishes educational content and guidance about business visibility in AI-powered search engines. The Website offers:

  • Educational articles and resources about AI search optimisation
  • The MASTERY-AI Framework methodology for improving AI search visibility
  • A record of the tools that have been retired, and where their source code now lives
  • A contact form for enquiries

The Website does not sell anything, does not operate any subscription or paid service, and does not offer user accounts. AImpactScanner and LLM.txt Mastery, which were previously operated as separate services, have been retired and are no longer available to use.

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 Our Content

The writing, graphics, logos and images on this Website are the property of AI Search Mastery or its content suppliers, and are protected by United Kingdom and international intellectual property law. The framework and the source code are separate: they are published under the MIT licence, and that licence governs them.

The following are trademarks or proprietary assets of AI Search Mastery:

  • The AI Search Mastery name and logo
  • The MASTERY-AI Framework name
  • The AImpactScanner name
  • The LLM.txt Mastery name

The MASTERY-AI Framework itself is published under the MIT licence at github.com/TheWayWithin/mastery-ai-framework, as is the source code of the retired AImpactScanner and LLM.txt Mastery tools. Where that licence applies it governs, and it permits commercial use. What is reserved above is the names, not the methodology or the code.

3.2 Permitted Use

This section covers the prose and images on the Website only. Anything published under the MIT licence, including the MASTERY-AI Framework and the source code of the retired tools, is governed by that licence instead, which permits modification and commercial use.

For the Website's own writing: you may read, download and print pages for personal use, and quote from them with attribution. Republishing a page in full, or reusing the writing commercially, needs our prior written permission.

3.3 Restrictions

These restrictions cover the Website's own writing and images. They do not apply to anything published under the MIT licence, which section 3.1 lists and which that licence governs. Without our prior written permission, you must not:

  • Republish, sell, or licence any Website content
  • Reproduce or copy content for commercial purposes
  • Place an automated load on the Website that degrades it for other visitors. Ordinary crawling and reading are welcome: robots.txt allows every major crawler, including the AI crawlers, and /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt exist so machines can read the site without crawling it at all
  • Use the AI Search Mastery, AImpactScanner, LLM.txt Mastery or MASTERY-AI Framework names to present your own product or service as ours, or as endorsed by us

4. User Conduct

When using the Website, you agree not to:

  • Use the Website for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false or misleading information through our contact form
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or its servers
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Website
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Run automated requests at a rate that degrades the site for other visitors. Crawling and reading are welcome, including by AI crawlers: see section 3.3
  • Impersonate any person or entity

5. External Links and Third-Party Websites

The Website contains links to third-party websites and services, including code repositories hosted by GitHub. These links are provided for your convenience.

  • We do not control or endorse the content or practices of any third-party website
  • Third-party websites are governed by their own terms, not these Terms
  • We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of third-party websites

6. Contact Form and Communications

When you submit information through our contact form, you agree that the information you provide is accurate, and we use it to respond to your enquiry. That processing rests on legitimate interest, not consent: see the Privacy Policy for the legal bases and your rights. We use spam prevention measures to maintain the quality of our communications.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Website and all content, information, and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

The information on this Website is for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional business, legal, financial, or technical advice. The AI search landscape is evolving rapidly, and information may become outdated. You should verify information and seek professional advice where appropriate before making business decisions based on our content.

Any reliance you place on information from this Website is strictly at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AI Search Mastery and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Search Mastery, its owner, and affiliated parties from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AI Search Mastery regarding your use of the Website.

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when changes were last made. Your continued use of the Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
