AI Search Mastery ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you visit aisearchmastery.com.

AI Search Mastery is operated by Jamie Watters. This policy applies only to aisearchmastery.com.

This is an informational website. It sells nothing, runs no service, and has no user accounts. The only personal data it collects is what you choose to send through the contact form. The AImpactScanner and LLM.txt Mastery tools, which were separate services with their own privacy policies, have been retired.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

The contact form is the only place on this website where you can submit personal data. When you use it, we collect:

  • Topic — the subject you select for your enquiry
  • Name — so we can address you personally
  • Email address — so we can respond to your enquiry
  • Message content — the details of your enquiry

The form is processed by Netlify, which hosts this website. The form also contains a hidden field that is invisible to you and used only to catch automated spam submissions.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and collects only aggregate, anonymised data:

  • Aggregate usage data — pages viewed and referring source
  • Device information — browser and device type
  • Country — derived at the point of collection, with no IP address stored

No individual visitors are identified or tracked, and no advertising or tracking cookies are set. See section 5 for detail.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries — processing contact form submissions and providing requested information
  • Improve our website — understanding in aggregate how visitors use the site so we can improve it
  • Communicate with you — sending responses to your messages
  • Ensure security — protecting against spam, fraud, and misuse (for example, the hidden spam-prevention field on the contact form)
  • Comply with legal obligations — meeting our legal and regulatory requirements

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interest — to respond to an enquiry you have sent us, to improve our website, and to prevent spam and misuse, where these interests do not override your rights
  • Legal compliance — to meet our legal and regulatory obligations

5. Cookies and Analytics

5.1 Our Approach

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Plausible is fully GDPR-compliant without requiring consent.

Plausible collects only aggregate, anonymised data: page views, referral sources, browser and device type, and country. No individual visitors are tracked, no IP addresses are stored, and no cookies are set.

5.2 No Cookies

This website sets no cookies. There are no accounts and no sessions to manage, and the analytics are cookieless.

5.3 No Marketing or Advertising Cookies

We do not use marketing cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party advertising trackers on this website.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

We may share your data with trusted service providers who help us operate our website:

  • Web hosting — Netlify (website hosting and form processing)
  • Analytics — Plausible Analytics (anonymised, cookieless usage data)
  • Email — Google Workspace, which carries the info@aisearchmastery.com mailbox used to reply to contact form submissions
  • Google Fonts — every page loads the Inter typeface from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. No cookie is set by this request.

All service providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law. We only share the minimum data necessary.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary:

  • Contact form submissions — retained for up to 24 months, then securely deleted
  • Analytics data — retained for up to 26 months (anonymised, in Plausible Analytics)

8. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
  • Right to object — object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest, which is the basis we rely on. We do not currently process anything on the basis of consent, so there is no consent to withdraw

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data:

  • SSL/TLS encryption — all data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted
  • Access controls — personal data is accessible only to authorised individuals
  • Regular security assessments — we periodically review and update our security practices
  • Secure hosting — our website is hosted on Netlify, which maintains enterprise-grade security

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but take all reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), to protect your data in accordance with UK data protection law.

11. Children's Privacy
